Vanguard EUR Corporate Bond UCITS ETF

(VECA) Vanguard EUR Corporate Bond UCITS ETF - (EUR) Accumulating

About this fund

Fund objectives

  • The Fund employs a passive management – or indexing – investment approach, through physical acquisition of securities, and seeks to track the performance of the Bloomberg Euro Corporate Index (the “Index“).
  • The Fund invests in a representative sample of bonds included in the Index in order to closely match the Index’s capital and income return.
  • The Index measures the performance of a broad spread of Euro denominated bonds paying a fixed rate of interest which are issued or guaranteed by companies.
  • Bonds in the Index have maturities of greater than one year and generally investment grade.
  • To a lesser extent the Fund may invest in similar types of bonds outside the Index.

Why this fund

  • The Fund seeks to track the performance of the Index.
  • In seeking to achieve its investment objective, the Fund aims to provide a return (comprising both income and capital appreciation) which, before application of fees and expenses, is similar to the return of the Index.
  • The Fund employs a “passive management” – or indexing – investment approach, through physical acquisition of securities, designed to track the performance of the Index.
  • In tracking the performance of the Index, the Fund will invest in a portfolio of fixed-rate euro-denominated corporate bonds (including subordinated and callable bonds) that so far as possible and practicable consist of a representative sample of the component securities of the Index.
